BW Offshore, through its subsidiary BW Energy do Brasil Ltda, has been given operator status by Brazil's Agencia Nacional do Petroleo (ANP) and plans to install a floating production storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) to produce oil from the offshore Maromba Field in the Campos Basin. The production facility is designed to produce between 40,000 and 50,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) of heavy crude, with a storage capacity of 1,650,000 barrels. First oil is anticipated mid-2022.
