Pemex Transformacion Industrial was forced to shut down all processing units on October 23 at its 243,000-BBL/d Salamanca, Mexico, refinery due to mechanical issues and financial constraints. Although a restart date was not disclosed, IIR estimates that the refinery will remain offline until the second week of November.
SilverRange Financial Partners LLC remains on schedule for a September 2020 turnaround at its 130,000-BBL/d (North Atlantic Refinery) Come By Chance, Newfoundland, refinery. Units involved include the Lone Crude, 25,000-BBL/d Distillate Hydrotreater, 22,000-BBL/d Diesel Hydrotreater, 20,000-BBL/d Visbreaker and 38,000-BBL/d Isomax.
Suncor Energy Incorporated has completed mechanical works as part of a planned maintenance turnaround for the 65,000-BBL/d Crude 1; 52,000-BBL/d Vacuum; the 12,000-BBL/d Platformer 40 and an Isomerization unit, which has been offline since September 7, at its 130,000-BBL/d Montreal, Quebec, refinery. Units will restart in sequence and are expected to be fully operational by next weekend, November 3.

PetroChina Dalian Petrochemical Company Limited will perform a 60-day planned, plant-wide turnaround, beginning April 1, 2020, at its 410,000-BBL/d Dalian China Refinery. Major units involved include the 120,000-BBL/d CDU 1; 90,000-BBL/d CDU 2; 200,000-BBL/d CDU 3; 12,000-BBL/d Reformer 1; 44,000-BBL/d Reformer 2, and 116,000-BBL/d combined capacity FCCU. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the units by May 30, 2020.
PetroIneos Manufacturing France SAS has shut down the 218,000-BBL/d D5 (Crude) unit today, October 29, at its Lavera Refinery in France. The unit was shut down due to a technical furnace issue. It is unclear at this stage how long the unit will remain shut down and if other units are impacted by this issue. IIR will continue to monitor the situation and update accordingly.
