Rising Food Imports to Help Curb Ethiopia's Inflation, an Industrial Info Market Brief
To ease out the domestic market inflation, an expression of interest is set to be issued by the Ethiopian Ministry of Finance to invite international companies to supply wheat, edible oil and sugar. The proposals will then be evaluated and the qualifying companies will be shortlisted and licensed to supply food items for domestic consumption. The inflation rate recorded in June 2019 was 19.6% which rose to 20.1% in July 2019.
