Valero restarted the 47,000-BBL/d Diesel (ULSD) Gulfiner 243 unit at its 343,000-BBL/d Port Arthur, Texas, refinery on December 15, after it was shut down for planned maintenance on December 1.
Shell remains on schedule to conduct a planned plant-wide maintenance turnaround, involving seven units, on June 4, 2020 at its 225,000-BBL/d Scotford Upgrader Refinery in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada.
Pemex TRI restarted four (and associated) units located in the Hidro 2 Area at its 325,000-BBL/d Salina Cruz, Mexico, refinery, on December 11. The units were taken offline on October 20 as part of its 2019 maintenance program.
International
Saudi Aramco Shell Refining Company (SASREF) restarted its 300,000-BBL/d SASREF Al Jubail Refinery in Saudi Arabia on December 15. The refinery had been under a planned maintenance shutdown, which included 10 major units, since September 18.
Star Petroleum Refining Company Limited (SPRC) restarted its 175,000-BBL/d Map Ta Phut Oil Refinery in Thailand, after completing a 45-day, planned plant-wide turnaround. Restart was previously set for December 21, but has now been moved to December 15.
ISAB SRL (Lukoil) has shut down the 152,000-BBL/d Topping (CR 30) unit at its 152,000-BBL/d Priolo Gargallo ISAB North Refinery in Italy. The unit was shut on December 11 due to low margins, and is expected to resume production once market conditions improve, or tentatively around mid-January 2020.
