China's accumulative power generation output reached 7,142.2 billion kilowatt hours (kWh) in 2019, an increase of 3.5% year over year, according to China's National Bureau.
In December alone, China's power generation output amounted to 654.4 billion kWh, an increase of 3.5% year over year, but 0.5 percentage point lower than in November.
China's output of thermal and nuclear power in December increased to 4.0% and 14.0% year over year, respectively; windpower increased 0.7%; hydropower fell 4.4% and solar power increased 15.2%.
