Industrial Info is tracking 37 modernization, upgrade, optimization and replacement projects, worth more than $257 million, at chemical production plants across the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). The owners plan to increase the throughput of their chemical plants.
DACH's chemical manufacturers are focusing on large-scale modernization projects to increase process efficiency, which is expected to reduce overall downtime at the plants. Most of the spending is in the petrochemical sector, which accounts for nearly 80% of the investments slated for completion over the next two years.
