Formosa Plastics has scheduled a 45-to 60-day turnaround of the 1.8 billion-pound-per-year Olefins 2 ethylene unit at its Point Comfort, Texas, plant. The unit is expected to be shut down in December, and will be restarted as late as February 2021.
Poliestireno y Derivados is continuing to plan a 7-to 10-day turnaround of the polystyrene resins unit, which will begin in April, at its Xaloztoc Polystyrene Plant in Mexico.

Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Company remains on schedule to perform a 50-day maintenance turnaround of the 3.5 billion-pound-per-year ethylene unit, beginning February 24, at its Rabigh Complex in Saudi Arabia. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by April 13.
Maruzen Petrochemical Company Limited is on schedule to perform a 55-day planned turnaround of the 1.16 billion-pound-per-year ethylene (3EP/Maruzen) and 670.2 million-pound-per-year propylene (3EP) unit, beginning May 11 at its Ichihara Chiba Chemical Complex in Japan. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the units by July 4.
Maruzen Petrochemical Company Limited is on schedule to perform a 45-day planned turnaround of the 253.5 million-pound-per-year ethylene oxide (EO) unit, and two other units, beginning May 20 at its Ichihara Chiba Chemical Complex in Japan. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the units by July 3.
