Exelon Generation Company LLC took 93.12 megawatts (MW) offline, today, February 25, from the Byron 01 unit at its Byron Nuclear Power Station in Illinois. The unit is operating at 92% and coasting down for a refueling outage on March 9.
Energy Northwest took 24 MW offline, today, February 25, from the Columbia 02 unit at its Columbia Nuclear Generating Station in Washington due to a leak discovered in the heat exchanger. The unit is running at 98%, and plant personnel are hoping to complete repairs and return it to full power tomorrow.
Duke Energy Progress LLC took 9.2 MW offline from the Brunswick 02 unit, today, February 25, at its Brunswick Nuclear Power Station in North Carolina. The unit is operating at 99% due to turbine testing, but this event is scheduled to end today.
