The Dakota Access Pipeline, owned and operated by Energy Transfer, has been placed under environmental review.
A federal court has ordered the review by petition of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, which claimed the Army Corps of Engineers failed to thoroughly review the pipeline and is in opposition to the National Environmental Policy Act. The Army Corps of Engineers has been ordered to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement.
