Malaysian cement companies have temporarily suspended all plant operations as the government carries out a nationwide lockdown to combat the rising number of COVID-19 cases. Cement makers across the country completed scheduled maintenance for their production lines and equipment earlier this year, with several plants now setting up for care and maintenance for the duration of the lockdown.

Malaysia, which has had the highest infection tally among Southeast Asian countries, has extended its lockdown until the middle of April to mitigate and control the outbreak. Industrial Info is following 18 cement facilities in Malaysia. Click here for a list and see map below.
