States Step in Before Feds Offer Aid to Oil Producers, an Industrial Info Market Brief
Oklahoma has ruled that oil companies in the state can cease production and still retain their leases. More than half of the rigs in the state have been shut-in since the beginning of 2020. New Mexico granted a 30-day production cease on April 21. Texas and North Dakota are currently considering similar relief.
