The North American Pharmaceutical-Biotech Industry leapt out of the gate in 2020 with a roar. In North America, the industry launched 302 projects worth almost $6 billion in just the first three months of the year -- before the world was changed by COVID-19, which brought more incentive dollars and grants. The Northeast region leads the way in first-quarter kickoffs, with 40 projects worth more than $1 billion, followed by the Mid-Atlantic region with $973 million divided among 34 projects, and the West Coast with $959 million on 35 projects.
