The Port of Corpus Christi in Texas, which is the largest crude oil exporter in the U.S., is looking to expand its capacity by shipping Canadian and Bakken oil.
The port depends on pipelines under construction to transfer oil from Cushing, Oklahoma. Some of those projects have been canceled or delayed due to COVID-19.
Buckeye plans to expand the newly built South Texas Gateway Terminal to help with the new crude influx once the pipelines are in place. Buckeye will expand the terminal capacity and add a dock.
