Regeneron already employs more than 1,000 at its bulk biological (active ingredients) plant in Limerick, Ireland. And the company plans to hire 400 more as it continues to expand the site's capacity. While its plant in New York will focus on COVID-19 candidates, the Irish plant will produce the company's existing drug products.
Having invested more than $1 billion since 2014 into the plant, the company is in the midst of ongoing expansions. The new employees will fill roles in commercial manufacturing, process sciences, quality assurance/control, supply chain and various support functions for scientists, chemists and technicians.
