RS Cogen LLC shut down the 04 ST, R5 CT/HRSG and R6 CT/HRSG units at its RS Cogen Plant in Lake Charles, Louisiana, due to a loss of power during Hurricane Laura. This event is expected to end September 6.
Northern States Power Company today, September 1, took 115.71 megawatts (MW) offline from the Prairie Island 01 unit at its Prairie Island Nuclear Power Station in Minnesota. The unit is returning from a unit trip and running at 79% capacity. This event is expected to end September 2.
Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) today, September 1, took 69.3 MW offline from the Cooper 01 unit at its Cooper Nuclear Power Station in Nebraska. The unit is slowly ramping down in preparation for an upcoming refueling outage that is scheduled to begin September 26, and is operating at 91%.
