South Asia's Chemical Industry plans to complete 343 expansion and unit addition projects valued at $7.69 billion in the next two years. The majority of the spending is in the agrochemicals and petrochemicals sectors, with a combined figure of more than $5.32 billion, which represents around 80% of the total investment in the region. Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) is the highest investor, with an investment of $1.2 billion for two projects.
