China's overall Power generation output reached 723.8 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in August, a year-over-year increase of 6.8%, and 4.9 percentage points higher than in July, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China.
For the first eight months of this year, China's accumulative power generation output reached 4,772.8 billion kWh, an increase of 0.3%. Thermal, solar and hydropower were up 6.2% in August. Nuclear power was up 0.9% and wind power was up 18.7%, but the growth rate was 4.5% points lower than the previous month.
