Survey: Manufacturers Shift Capital Spending Outlook into Positive Territory

SUGAR LAND--October 2, 2020--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Respondents to a recent third-quarter U.S. manufacturers' survey indicated they expect capital spending to rise 0.7% over the next 12 months. This is a big change from the results of the second-quarter survey, in which respondents predicted a 2.5% decline amid the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic downturn.
Industrial Info is tracking nearly $27 billion worth of high-probability Industrial Manufacturing projects (those with an 81-99% probability of moving forward) in the U.S. that are planned to kick off construction in the next 12 months.
