Sempra to Proceed with Mexico LNG Export Plant - Sempra Energy (NYSE:SRE) said on Tuesday its ECA Liquefaction subsidiary will build the Costa Azul liquefied natural gas (LNG) export plant in Mexico, the only LNG export project in the world to get a final investment decision in 2020. ECA Liquefaction will build the plant at the existing Costa Azul LNG import plant at an estimated capital cost of around $2 billion. It is expected to produce first LNG in late 2024. Canadian Indigenous Group to Invest Up to C$1 Billion in Keystone XL Pipeline - Pipeline operator TC Energy (NYSE:TRP) said on Tuesday that Canadian indigenous group Natural Law Energy will invest up to C$1 billion ($763.77 million) in its Keystone XL oil pipeline. Keystone XL would carry 830,000 barrels per day of crude oil from Alberta to the U.S. Midwest. It has faced a decade of opposition from U.S. landowners, environmental groups and tribes. ExxonMobil Says Latest Guyana Discovery Not Financially Viable - An oil exploration campaign led by Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) in the Kaieteur block off Guyana's coast discovered hydrocarbons, but it does not appear to be financially viable on its own, a spokesman for the company said on Tuesday. As part of a consortium with Hess Corporation (NYSE:HES) and China's CNOOC Ltd., Exxon has made 18 discoveries totaling some 8 billion barrels of recoverable oil and gas in Guyana's massive Stabroek block, southwest of Kaieteur.
