                    China's overall power consumption reached 7,511.0 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in 2020, an increase of 3.1% over the 2019 level, according to the National Energy Administration (NEA).
Power consumption by China's primary industries (agriculture, forestry, fishing, mining, and oil & gas production) reached 85.9 billion kWh, an increase of 10.2%; that of the secondary industries (manufacturing) reached 5,121.5 billion kWh, an increase of 2.5%, and consumption by the tertiary industries (services) reached 1,208.7 billion kWh, an increase of 1.9%. Consumption by urban and township households reached 1,094.9 billion kWh, an increase of 6.9% year over year.
