Industrial Info is tracking 51 active grassroot and unit addition projects, valued at more than $25 billion, across Africa that are intended to meet the steadily growing demand for nitrogenous, phosphatic and mixed fertilizers. These projects are set to be approved for construction through 2023.
Office Cherifien Des Phosphates accounts for the largest investment at about $4 billion, followed by Ferrostaal AG, with about $2.75 billion; and Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, with about $2.4 billion each.
