Dominion Acquires Ohio Solar Facility
- Dominion Energy (NYSE:D) announced that one of its subsidiaries has acquired the 150-megawatt Hardin solar generating facility, which recently entered service in Hardin County, Ohio, from Invenergy. Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) will take the electricity generated at the facility as well as the renewable energy credits, under a long-term agreement signed prior to the project's construction. - The Biden administration has temporarily suspended oil and gas leasing and permitting on federal lands and waters while it evaluates the legal and policy implications of the program, according to a Department of Interior memo. The move appears to be a first step in delivering on newly sworn-in President Joe Biden's campaign promise to ban all new federal drilling permits. (Reuters)

TC Energy to Cut Jobs as Keystone XL Pipeline Nixed
- TC Energy Corporation (NYSE:TRP) will eliminate more than 1,000 construction jobs in coming weeks and halt work on the Keystone XL oil pipeline after U.S. President Joe Biden revoked the project's presidential permit, the company said in an email to employees. Biden's decision to cancel the permit is seen as the project's death knell, after more than a decade of legal battles and shifting fortunes based on who held office in the White House.
