Among Colombia's projects is the construction of the 100,000-barrel-per-day Sebastopol Refinery. This privately financed investment is currently in the final stages to confirm full funding and sign a contract to secure the budget. The project is approved but needs some modifications since it is changing the type of crude oil it may process. Refineria Colombiana Sebastopol SAS, owner of the project, will submit permits once again to modify the necessary technical information. The land is selected, and current expectations are to begin with site preparation by late 2021. The schedule indicates that the new refinery would come into operations in 2025.
