McDermott International is emerging as the frontrunner to land a turnkey contract for Total's Tilenga oilfield development in Uganda, according to Upstream. Total expects to award the contract in a few weeks.
McDermott is understood to have teamed up with Jiangsu Oilfield Construction, the engineering arm of China's state-owned oil giant Sinopec, for the Tilenga work.
