American Electric Power Company Incorporated took the 1,077-megawatt (MW) Donald C. Cook 02 unit offline for planned refueling, reactor head and/or vessel inspections, valve and pump maintenance and fuel rod replacements on April 17, at its Donald C. Cook Nuclear Power Station in Michigan. This event previously was expected to begin April 14. Completion is scheduled for May 18.
South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company took the 704-MW South Texas 02 unit offline today, April 20, at its South Texas Project Nuclear Generating Station in Texas. The unit is running at 45% as it returns from a refueling outage. This event is expected to end April 22.
Public Service Company of New Mexico took the 534-MW San Juan 04 unit offline, on April 19, at its San Juan Generating Station in New Mexico, due to a drain valve malfunction. This event is expected to end later today.
