Reuters: Shell Mulls Sale of Texas Shale Assets - Royal Dutch Shell (NYSE:RDS-A) (The Hague, Netherlands) is reviewing its holdings in the largest U.S. oil field for a potential sale, people familiar with the matter told Reuters, marking a key moment in its shift away from fossil fuels as it faces growing pressure to slash carbon emissions. The sale could be for part or all of Shell's position in the Permian Basin, located mostly in Texas, which accounted for about 6% of the company's total oil and gas output last year. (Reuters)

EIA: U.S. Shale Oil Output to Climb 38,000 BBL/d in July - U.S. oil output from seven major shale formations is expected to rise by about 38,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) in July to about 7.8 million BBL/d, the highest since November, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in a monthly forecast on Monday. The biggest increase is set to come from the Permian, where output is expected to rise by 56,000 BBL/d to about 4.66 million BBL/d, the highest since March 2020. (Reuters)
