Formosa Plastics' 2.64 billion-pound-per-year Olefins 3 unit in Point Comfort, Texas, remains shut down following a loss of feed supply from a third party on June 4. Current expectations are to restart the unit by the end of the week.
ExxonMobil Chemical is on schedule to perform a 70-day turnaround of the main train ethylene unit, which consists of the 1.1 billion-pound-per-year ECLA-W and 1 billion-pound-per-year OLA-2x units, in August, at its Baton Rouge, Louisiana, plant.
Dow Chemical is wrapping up a planned turnaround of its 1.1 billion-pound-per-year LHC 2 Ethylene Unit in Plaquemine, Louisiana. The unit shut down on April 12, and the restart is expected by the end of the week.

Bakhtar Petrochemical Company remains on schedule to begin a 30-day maintenance turnaround of the 2.2 billion-pound-per-year Ethylene Unit 1 on June 26 at its Bandar Asaluyeh Complex in Iran. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by July 25. Additionally, a 30-day maintenance turnaround of the 2.2 billion-pound-per-year Ethylene Unit 2 is expected to begin on June 22, 2022. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by July 21, 2022.
Braskem has rescheduled a maintenance turnaround of the 1.74 billion-pound-per-year ethylene cracker at its Santo Andre Plant in Brazil. The turnaround started on April 5 and completion was expected May 27, but the unit remains shut due to repeated delays. The restart is expected June 18.
Severodonetsk Azot Association JSC has started a planned maintenance turnaround of the 550,000-metric-ton-per-year Ammonia 1A Unit at its Severodonetsk Azot Fertilizers Plant in the Ukraine. Completion is expected by the end of June.
