India's Nitrogenous Fertilizer Sector Now Has 2025 Deadline to Meet Natural Gas Mandate
NEW DELHI--July 16, 2021--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Urea production plants in India have until 2025 to meet a mandate to use natural gas as their feedstock. The policy calls for all operational nitrogenous fertilizer units to convert their manufacturing process from naphtha, fuel oil and low-sulfur, heavy stocks (LSHS) feedstock to natural gas and/or liquefied natural gas (LNG) in order use a cleaner feedstock.
