Halliburton Strengthens Quarterly Profit - Oilfield services company Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL) on Tuesday topped Wall Street earnings estimates and offered an upbeat view for energy services demand as the downturn in oil drilling activity recedes. The company kicked off results for the oilfield services with a 33% jump in second-quarter profit from the previous three months. Second-quarter profit rose to $227 million from $170 million in the first quarter. (Reuters)

U.S. Crude Oil Exports Reach Record High in 2020, Remain High in 2021 - U.S. crude oil exports reached a record high in 2020. So far this year (as of July 9, 2021), U.S. crude oil exports have averaged 3.00 million BBL/d. The most recent four-week rolling average of U.S. crude oil exports reached 3.51 million BBL/d, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration's (EIA) Weekly Petroleum Status Report. The four-week rolling average of U.S. crude oil export volumes has not fallen below 2.00 million BBL/d during the past three years, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused significant crude oil price drops, reduced demand, and reduced production in U.S. and global oil markets. Saudi Arabian Crude Oil Exports Hit Four-Month High in May - Saudi Arabia's crude oil exports rose in May to 5.649 million barrels per day (BBL/d), their highest level in four months, Joint Organisations Data Initiative said on its website on Monday. Crude oil exports rose from 5.408 million BBL/d in April, while the country's total oil (crude oil and total oil products) exports stood at 6.94 million BBL/d in May compared with 6.62 million BBL/d the previous month.
