NextEra Energy Point Beach LLC, today, August 3, took 270 megawatts (MW) offline from the 600-MW Point Beach 01 unit, due to a main feed pump malfunction, at its Point Beach Nuclear Power Station in Wisconsin. This event is expected to end later today. The unit went fully offline on July 31 for the same issue, but restarted August 2.
Basin Electric Power Cooperative took the 570-MW Laramie River 01 unit offline on July 27 at its Laramie River Power Station in Wyoming, following an electrical issue and a boiler tube leak repair. This event is expected to end August 5.
