Louisiana's Industries Continue to Assess Plant Damage Following Hurricane Ida

SUGAR LAND--August 31, 2021--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Power providers, oil & gas producers, petroleum refiners and chemical processors were continuing on Monday to assess damage caused by Hurricane Ida, which left 1 million power customers without electricity in Louisiana. More than 1.9 million barrels per day (BBL/d) of crude oil processing capacity were offline on Monday at six petroleum refineries in the state, and 12.5 billion pounds per year of ethylene capacity was offline at six petrochemical plants. Industrial Info's research teams were calling industrial facilities across the affected region to determine the level of damage, when electricity might be restored and when operations could resume.
