Motiva, on December 12, experienced an electric power loss on four units at its 600,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Port Arthur, Texas, refinery. Motiva is in the process of restarting the units.

PBF Chalmette Refining LLC has rescheduled a January turnaround at its 192,000-BBL/d Chalmette, Louisiana, refinery, to now occur in late 2022. Major units involved include the 96,000-BBL/d Crude Unit, 32,000-BBL/d Reformer 3, and 27,000-BBL/d b/d HDS Diesel Hydrotreater.

International
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has rescheduled the 30-day planned turnaround of the 70,000-BBL/d Diesel Hydrotreater Unit 2 at its 660,000-BBL/d Jamnagar Domestic Tariff Area Refinery in India. The turnaround now is expected to begin March 1, 2022, with the restart by March 30. The 30-day planned turnaround of the 47,000-BBL/d Kerosene Hydrotreater and 25,000-BBL/d Coker Naphtha Hydrotreater has also been rescheduled, to begin April 15, 2022.

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) continues operating the 80,000-BBL/d Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) 3 at its 232,000-BBL/d (design capacity: 210,000 BBL/d) Manali Refinery in India at 94% due to production planning. The units expect to resume full throughput by December 24.

ENAP Refinerias SA, on December 12, began the restart process on five units at its 100,000-BBL/d Aconcagua Refinery in Chile. The units will be fully operational by December 17 after being offline since October 10.
