Air Liquide Opens Nevada Hydrogen Plant - French industrial gas company Air Liquide (Paris) on Tuesday said it has opened its largest liquid hydrogen production and logistics facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada, to supply growing needs for hydrogen-fueled vehicles. "While the clean mobility market continues to mature, the plant configuration will also allow for the sale of hydrogen to a wide array of sectors with a range of renewable and low-carbon options for customers," Air Liquide said in a news release. The North Las Vegas facility will produce 30 tons of liquid hydrogen per day. U.S. Natural Gas Hits 13-Year High on High Demand - U.S. natural gas futures edged up on Tuesday, closing at a 13-year high, as natural gas volumes flowing to U.S. liquefied natural gas export plants jumped to the most in seven weeks on raised forecasts for demand next week. U.S. front-month gas futures for June delivery rose 5.2 cents, or 0.6%, to settle at $8.796 per million British thermal units on Tuesday, a day after they soared 8%.
