July 26, 2022--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) recently approved Georgia Power's proposal to retire all of its coal-fired units by 2028. Georgia Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company (NYSE:SO) (Atlanta, Georgia), is pushing coal out of its portfolio as part of its 2022 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP).
