CCS Still Advancing Under Pro-Fuels Trump

October 16, 2025--Written by Daniel Graeber for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Biorefining company Green Plains (Omaha, Nebraska) said Wednesday it had started operations on a carbon sequestration facility at its ethanol plant in York, Nebraska, that will deliver "significant" volumes of carbon dioxide (CO2) through a regional pipeline. "The CCS [carbon capture and storage] equipment is now fully operational and is delivering significant volumes of biogenic CO2 to the Tallgrass Trailblazer pipeline for permanent sequestration," the company said.
