China's Environmental Ministry Clears Three Major Coal-Fired Projects in Guandong

BEIJING--March 4, 2014--Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--The Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) approved environment impact assessment (EIA) reports for three large-scale, coal-fired power projects in Guangdong. The three projects have a total installed capacity of 5,320 megawatts (MW), and will replace small, coal-fired units with a total capacity of 1,940 MW, according to the MEP, which accepted the reports in January.
