China's First CO2-Based Methanol Plant to Start Up in 4Q21

BEIJING--July 23, 2021--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--CRI, or Carbon Recycling International, was the first and, to date, the only company to produce methanol at industrial scale from carbon dioxide (CO2). The company's George Olah renewable methanol plant is once the largest CO2-based methanol plant, with a capacity of 5,000 tons per year. This record will soon be break by another CRI project, invested by Geely Technology Group, in China.
