Coker Fire Shuts Part of Phillips 66 Billings Refinery
February 13, 2024--Written by Paul Wiseman for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Phillips 66 (NYSE:PSX) (Houston, Texas) shut down the 16,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) coker unit at its refinery in Billings, Montana, on Friday, February 9 due to a fire in the coker pit area, according to IIR data. Before reopening, repairs will be required to pipe racks and other piping. The issue may have also impacted the refinery's 35,000-BBL/d and 20,000-BBL/d crude distillation units.
