Colombia to Build Its First Offshore Windfarm, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Colombian developer Parque Eolico Offshore Vientos Alisios SAS has announced plans to develop and construct a 200-megawatt (MW) offshore windfarm in the Caribbean Sea. This project, which is expected to complete development and start construction by 2025, will be the first offshore wind project in Colombia and in South America outside Brazil, which already has 14 projects under development in different stages of planning.
