Delfin LNG, Germany's SEFE Sign 15-Year Supply Deal - Delfin LNG (Houston, Texas) and German company Securing Energy For Europe (SEFE) (Berlin) have signed a 15-year agreement for 1.5 million tons of U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year, the companies said on Tuesday. Under the agreement, LNG would be exported from floating LNG (vessels that Delfin wants to deploy off Cameron Parish, Louisiana, Delfin said in a press release. Shell Raises LNG Sales Target - Shell plc (NYSE:SHEL) (London, England), the world's biggest LNG trader, said it is targeting a 4-5% annual increase in LNG sales over the next five years and 1% annual production growth. Finance Chief Sinead Gorman said on a conference call that the LNG sales target would be underpinned by Shell's own production and volumes from other producers. Shell estimates global demand for LNG to rise by about 60% by 2040, driven by economic growth in Asia, the impact of artificial intelligence and efforts to cut emissions in heavy industries and transportation. The company produced 29 million metric tons of LNG and sold 66 million tons in 2024. (Reuters)

U.S. Army Corps to Narrow List of Emergency Projects by Next Week - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will complete as soon as next week its revised list of energy projects that could be fast-tracked under President Donald Trump's declaration of a national energy emergency, a U.S. Army Corps official told Reuters. In February, the Army Corps posted a list of more than 600 projects requiring faster environmental approvals, but then quickly removed the list from its website to give the agency more time to vet projects.
