Dong to Build Westermost Rough Offshore Windfarm

GALWAY, IRELAND--February 12, 2013 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) Danish energy firm, Dong Energy's (Fredericia, Denmark), has announced that it is going ahead with the €1 billion ($1.3 billion) Westermost Rough offshore windfarm off the U.K.'s east coast. Located eight kilometers (km) off the Yorkshire coast, the windfarm covers an area of square 35km and will feature 35 turbines with a rated generating capacity of 6-megawatts (MW) each.
