First Gas Turbine Developed in South Korea Gets Ignited
KOFU, JAPAN--April 20, 2023--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--A prototype model of South Korea's first domestically-developed gas turbine, which is installed at the Gimpo Combined Heat and Power Plant owned by Korea Western Power, has been ignited for the first time. If the demonstration operation is completed, South Korea will be the world's fifth country with gas-turbine technology for power generation, following the United States, Japan, Germany and Italy.
