July 23, 2025--Written by Daniel Graeber for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Upstream services firm Halliburton Company (Houston, Texas) said it's expecting the market to be worse off than originally anticipated as macroeconomic pressures take a toll on parts of the energy sector. This is the first earnings season since so-called Liberation Day, when U.S. President Donald Trump in April laid out a sweeping tariff agenda targeting nearly every U.S. trading partner. From blanket reciprocal tariffs, to target-specific sectors such as steel, results have been mixed.
