Hydrogen Peroxide-to-Propylene Oxide Process Technology Enters Commercial Operation in China

BEIJING--July 24, 2023--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Jincheng Petrochemical's (Zibo, China) 300,000 ton-per-year propylene oxide and supporting 900,000 ton-per-year hydrogen peroxide project, located in Zibo City, Shandong Province, entered commercial operations in July. It introduced China Tianchen Engineering Corporation, Ltd.'s (Tianchen Company) (Tianjin, China) self-developed hydrogen peroxide-to-propylene oxide (HPPO) technology, which reduces the consumption of propylene by 1.5%, the amount of wastewater by more than 98 and the discharge of waste residue by more than 80% when converting hydrogen peroxide to propylene oxide.
