Marathon Galveston Bay has experienced continuing mechanical issues during the attempted restart of the 140,000-BBL/d FCCU 3 at its 450,000-BBL/d Galveston Bay Refinery in Texas City, Texas. Initial restart of the unit began in early April, but was thwarted by issues with a blower. The FCCU 3 began its turnaround early, in the middle of February, after the refinery was shut during Winter Storm Uri.
