Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--ACME Group (Gurugram, India), one of India's leading solar companies, is investing about US$15 billion in two new green hydrogen and green ammonia facilities in Mangalore (Karnataka) and Tuticorin (Tamil Nadu), India. The green hydrogen generated through these facilities will help to decarbonize nearby facilities in the fertilizer, power-generation, refining and steel sectors.
Projects at both locations would be carried out in phases, with Phase I being expected to be commissioned by 2026 and Phase II by 2028. Each facility will produce 1.2 million tons per annum of green hydrogen and green ammonia, through a total of 1.5 gigawatts (GW) of electrolyzers, powered by a total of 5 GW in solar power plants. Desalination units will be installed for water requirements. Subscribers to Industrial Info's Global Market Intellgeince (GMI) Chemical Processing Project Database can read detailed reports for the Mangalore and Tuticorin projects.
ACME Group also is investing US$2.5 billion in a similar project for green hydrogen and green ammonia in Duqm, Oman, which will produce 726,000 tons per annum of green ammonia from green hydrogen, using a 350-megawatt (MW) electrolyzer. Subscribers can learn more in a detailed project report.
