April 25, 2022--Written by Paul Wiseman for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--As the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) moves closer to releasing next-step details on its program offering up to $6 billion in support of keeping older nuclear reactors online, it calls to mind the fact that nuclear energy is being brought back into the conversation regarding low-carbon electricity generation.
