Japan's Idemitsu Kosan to Shut Acrylic Acid Unit

May 9, 2022--Idemitsu Kosan Company Limited (Tokyo, Japan) has decided to permanently shut a 110 million-pound-per-year acrylic acid production unit plus supporting utilities due to an oversupplied market. The unit demolition is expected to kick off in 2024.
