About 12% of North Dakota's Crude Oil Production Shut In - North Dakota's oil production was estimated to be down by between 125,000 BBL/d and 150,000 BBL/d due to extreme cold weather and related operational challenges, the state's pipeline authority said on Monday. North Dakota is the third-largest oil-producing state in the country, and the impacted production represents about 12% of the region's 1.1 million BBL/d of oil output, based on data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
