PT Supreme Energy is focusing its business on the development of geothermal energy in Indonesia to support the government's program to meet the country's fast-growing energy needs and establishing a more environmentally friendly energy mix.
PT Supreme Energy began commercially operating a Phase-1 geothermal power plant located in Solok Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province. The power plant has a net capacity of 85 megawatts (MW).
The electricity will be supplied to the Sumatra electricity grid owned by PT PLN (Persero), which can be distributed to 340,000 households. PT Supreme Energy also is in talks with PT PLN for the development of Phase 2, with a capacity of 65 MW.
PT Supreme energy also is developing a 90-MW geothermal power plant that is under construction in South Sumatra. In addition, energy provider is preparing an exploration program for its geothermal project in South Lampung Regency.
